For more than four decades, the Barnegat Inlet Yacht Club has brought like-minded boaters together to maximize the boating experience. The emphasis is on fun and family.
The BIYC was established by several avid boaters in 1981 with an initial membership of 6 people. Their goals were simple - to organize boating events and get-togethers while, maybe, scoring some reciprocity visits to some of the very fine marinas that dotted the intracoastal. It worked - most of the time, anyway. But as the club grew, so did the many acquaintances and strong bonds with many of the most distinguished establishments up and down the East Coast. Today, more than 50 boaters fly the BIYC burgee and come together each season to fully experience all that Summer has to offer, resulting in friendships that continue year-round.
